Melissa'wedding day

Melissa’s wedding took place at Hockwold Hall - a beautiful 16th-century manor house in Norfolk that couldn’t have been more perfect for the relaxed, intimate celebration she had planned.

With makeup just for Melissa and one bridesmaid, the morning felt calm, spacious and completely unhurried. It was one of those wedding days where everything felt intentional - smaller guest list, meaningful moments, and time to truly take it all in.

Melissa booked my VIP stay-on package, which meant I was there not just for makeup, but for everything else that inevitably pops up. From helping into her dress and holding bouquets for photos to cutting stray tags and making sure nothing was missed - she could simply enjoy her morning.

The venue: Hockwold Hall, Norfolk

Hockwold Hall is full of charm and history - a manor house setting that feels both grand and deeply personal.

The interiors create a warm, elegant backdrop, while the outdoor courtyard adds a romantic, storybook feel. It’s the kind of venue that suits refined, polished makeup - something timeless rather than trend-led.

If you’re planning a wedding at Hockwold Hall, a soft, luminous look always complements the character of the space beautifully.

The bridal vision

Melissa was calm, present and completely trusting - which meant we could create something that felt elevated but still entirely her.

The atmosphere of the morning was gentle and joyful. No rushing. No chaos. Just quiet excitement and the kind of warmth that comes from being surrounded by your closest people.

It was a reminder that you don’t need a huge bridal party for a morning to feel special - sometimes less really is more.

The makeup look

Melissa chose to lean into my signature soft glam style - polished, radiant and built to last.

  • Glowing, skin-like base with soft-focus finish

  • Warm shimmer across the eyes for subtle light reflection

  • Individual lashes for lift without heaviness

  • Fresh pink lip to add warmth

  • Gentle sculpting to define while keeping everything natural

The result was elegant and timeless - makeup that would still feel beautiful when she looks back in ten years.

Why this look worked so well

Hockwold Hall’s rich textures and historic setting call for makeup that:

  • Feels refined rather than trendy

  • Photographs beautifully in both indoor and outdoor light

  • Balances glow with longevity

  • Enhances natural beauty rather than masking it

With the VIP stay-on service, we were also able to maintain that flawless finish through confetti, hugs and courtyard celebrations.

Peace of mind is powerful - especially on a wedding day.

A note from Melissa

“Hannah was amazing! From booking her, to having the trial, to her doing my makeup for my wedding she has been such a lovely helpful person! The makeup for my wedding was amazing, I felt so beautiful and it lasted right up until about 2am. I had her for the whole day and not only did she do an amazing job with my bridesmaid’s makeup and my makeup, she was so incredibly helpful with everything else during the day - holding flowers, helping me get my shoes on and off and also helping with my dress and accessories! I would 100% recommend Hannah, she is the sweetest person and such a joy to be around.”
