Holly'wedding day

Some wedding mornings feel full-circle - and Holly’s was one of them.

Not only was I there as her makeup artist, but also as a guest, celebrating one of my closest friends on one of the happiest days of her life. There’s something incredibly special about being trusted with someone’s wedding morning when you know them so well.

From the moment we started, the atmosphere was joyful and full of personality - exactly like Holly.

The venue: South Farm, Hertfordshire

South Farm is one of Hertfordshire’s most loved wedding venues - relaxed, beautifully run and full of rustic charm.

The prep spaces are bright and welcoming, with plenty of room for a busy bridal party. Holly’s morning was lively - bridesmaids, mums and even little ones popping in and out - but thanks to a clear schedule and a calm setup, everything ran smoothly.

It was one of those mornings filled with energy, but never stress.

The bridal vision

Holly wanted radiant, glowing skin with soft definition - something polished but not overworked.

She doesn’t wear heavy makeup day-to-day, so it was important that her wedding look felt elevated, not exaggerated. The goal was simple:

Natural. Luminous. Timeless.

The makeup look

We created my signature soft glam - what I often call The Masonic Glow.

  • Dewy, skin-like base with light-reflecting warmth

  • Soft champagne shimmer through the eyes

  • Delicate cluster lashes for subtle lift

  • Fresh blush tones to enhance her natural glow

  • A timeless nude lip to keep everything balanced

The finish was radiant, effortless and long-lasting.

Even with a full day of celebrations - from ceremony to dance floor - her makeup stayed flawless without a single touch-up.

Bridal party beauty

Holly had a larger bridal party, with ages ranging from little flower girls to mums in their 60s.

Each look was tailored individually - soft, flattering and cohesive without being identical. Everyone felt confident, comfortable and camera-ready.

That’s always the goal: harmony without uniformity.

Why this look worked so well

South Farm weddings often carry that relaxed countryside feel - but that doesn’t mean timelines run themselves.

With a structured schedule in place, clear timings and built-in breathing space, Holly’s morning felt organised without ever feeling rigid.

She was able to laugh, soak it in, and truly enjoy being surrounded by her favourite people.

And that’s exactly how a wedding morning should feel.

A note from Holly

“I couldn’t recommend Hannah enough. From day one, she was fantastic - super organised, so calm, and always checking in. I was a difficult bride (constantly changing my mind!) but Hannah reassured me the whole way through and helped me trust my gut. On the day, I didn’t want to change a thing. I felt like me - just elevated - and I can’t thank her enough.”
